Short Biography

Gaetano Anastasi obtained the PhD in Innovative Technologies at the ReTiS Laboratory, Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna (Pisa, Italy) in November 2011. During his PhD programme, he spent a research period abroad at the DREQUIEM Lab, University Carlos III of Madrid. He received the Laurea degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Pisa in February 2008. His main research interests include real-time scheduling, QoS management issues in Service-Oriented Architectures (SOA), QoS negotiation methods and real-time virtualisation.

One of his favourites quotes, useful to explain his passion towards the research, comes from the Greek philosopher Socrates: "The unexamined life is not worth living".
