Indexed and listed

Those that know me a little bit, should know (by now) that I am (royally) pissed off about the crusade for indexes, performance measurement and determination of the quantitative impact of the research "products". I am fully in favor of working with the industry, but fully against the term products applied to the research outcome. Call me nostalgic, but I like so much the term findings or the mundane results. Without digressing, like it or not, as they say in the very nice movie ...

Despite all of this, my institution keeps bugging me for these lists every other week. After all, they need to measure me....
