My best award
It is a letter I received by email on 4 February 2023 from a former student:
After 20 years, I decided to send you this email to tell you that I think you are the best teacher I have ever had
and to thank you for what you have done for us. Your lectures were the best of the degree course and they were
also fun not only for the competence and the way you explained, but also for the serene atmosphere that you
managed to establish and, last but not least, for your amusing explanations of jazz music, which fascinated me a lot,
even though I knew very little about it. It is not a chance that right now I'm listening to an album by Santana
who, if I remember correctly, were among your favorites. And again, it is not a coincidence that your book
is one of the few that I still keep and that I brought to my new house when I got married.
These thanks come to you 20 years late, but believe me they are more than deserved.
Thanks again and I hope to see you soon.
Leonardo Salvaggio
